Total Body Modification (TBM) Frequently Asked Questions:

TBM What is Total Body Modification (TBM)?

TBM is a technique which lets me go through your body, one circuit/organ/function at a time and just like the electric company, I am making sure all of your circuit breakers are turned on. There are specific corrections along the spine that correlate to the nerve flow to each organ. By turning on these pathways, your body can function with greater ease and efficiency, not to mention a reduction in your complaints/aches/pains/symptoms.

How Are Changes Made By Just Tapping Along The Spine?

The nervous system is composed of:

  • The Central Nervous System; which runs the voluntary function or movements.
  • The Autonomic Nervous System; which runs the involuntary functions of the body such as heartbeat, digestion, etc.

Each of these systems are further divided in to Sensory and Motor Fibers.

The brain is the primary control for both branches of the nervous system. Sensory Fibers carry messages to the brain where they are processed, like a computer, and the brain in turn, tells the body what to do.

Research has proven that under sufficient stress, for any reason, the neurons in the brain centers, which are controlling the stressed organ or body part, essentially depolarize. This is like blowing a fuse on an electric circuit. The message gets to the brain but fails to return. The result is that the brain (computer) loses effective control over the afflicted organ or body part. This leaves the organ or body part running out of control.

Using tried and tested reflex points and muscle testing, the TBM practitioner can find the problem. The practitioner will then stimulate a specific area or areas of the spine in a specific manner in an attempt to stimulate the neurons in the brain to repolarize (fix the fuse) and allow the brain to regain control of the body and guide it back to health.

Since a correctly functioning nervous system is a major requirement for health, it follows that TBM can have a part to play in almost any problem and uncover and correct the roadblocks to recovery.

What Happens During a TBM Session?

The first time I see you I will ask what brought you here and take a short history. In TBM , we always let the body tells us what's out of harmony, so we fix only what needs to be balanced. I start with a basic exam that will include 112 points and corrections. Most people do not need all of those, but we run thru this basic exam to make sure we don't miss anything. You haven't always got what you have... I use muscle testing (pushing down on your arm or leg) to find out which points need to be corrected. Most corrections involve tapping along your spine while you breathe in and out. Very fast and easy. At the end of your session, I'll ask you to lay flat on your back and I'll but wedges or blocks under your hips. This is called 'blocking' and it 'downloads' all the corrections we just did into your body's 'hard drive', so the corrections will hold. You may be asked to alter your diet for a short period of time, as well as increase your water intake.

How Long Does a Session Last?

Usually an hour. Sometimes we can finish up in less time, or sometimes it can take a bit longer for your body to 'finish' with the treatment.

How Many Times Will I Need To Come For Treatment?

That depends on what you are coming for. Some clients come for very specific treatment for a specific problem. Some come for an 'overall overhaul'. Some come for routine preventative treatments, it's really up to you. I tell most of my clients that if you are not feeling changes or better in three treatments, I'll refer you to someone else. Some clients come because they feel so good after the first appointment, they don't really care what I'm 'doing or fixing'. I also tend to start seeing their family members, as they start telling everyone about TBM and how this technique might sound a little crazy at first, but one visit fixed or changed certain things in their bodies and they feel so good afterwards, they just have to talk about it!

Can TBM Do Anything For Allergies?

Yes, this technique can be used to de-sensitize allergies and can give a 95% improvement in symptoms. According to Dr Frank, allergic reactions are the result of unresolved flight or fight responses when we inhale or eat disharmonious allergens (ones that clash with our own electromagnetic field). He recognizes five basic causes of allergies in 80% of patients, including dehydration, sugar metabolism problems, mercury fillings and reactions to bees. If these are corrected, allergic reactions are eliminated in 80% of people.

The first treatment consists of muscle testing, to discover internal imbalances or blockages. The treatment has the effect of resetting the body’s computer, to restore normal functions in areas such as blood pressure, the immune system and hormonal cycles. It enables the body to accept the allergy treatments that follow. For these, TBM practitioners use vials of allergens plus viruses such as flu, pollutants, vaccines, parasites, hormones and heavy metals. These are harmonized to the body by using radionically charged Igs (immunoglobulins) vials, and by finding and correcting the corresponding body point.

TBM also treats the side effects of medication, chronic fatigue, colds and flu, many viruses, Lupus, infertility, arthritis, joint and back problems, gallstones, Crohn’s disease, diabetes and glaucoma. TBM also can increase the efficacy of homeopathic treatments.

Remember, TBM picks up disharmony or dysfunction at one or two percent-TBM can correct a problem before it would even show up in routine medical testing! Routine medical testing usually requires a 40-60% dysfunction before the test shows a positive result!

Will Insurance Pay For TBM?

So far, I have not found an insurance company that will pay for this treatment.

What Is The Cost Of A Treatment?

Each session is $40. Cash, checks or credit cards are accepted.

What Is The History of TBM?

Dr. Victor L. Frank, D.C., N.M.D., is president and founder of TBM. He has personally taught health practitioners throughout the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Israel, Mexico, South Africa and Europe. He was named Chiropractor of the Year by the Parker Chiropractic Foundation in 1986, and has received many prestigious awards throughout his forty years of experience in practice. Below is Dr. Frank's words about TBM:

TBM has taken that original philosophy and explored the possibilities of self-regeneration inherent in the human body. We have found that if the right thing is done to the right body at the right time in the right way, miracles happen. We have taken the techniques of the old chiropractic masters and combined them with modern technology. We can now duplicate the corrections and the restoration to health that the old master were able to achieve, but we can do them by intent and on a repeat-able basis.

We, in TBM, are able to test and correct most of the known body functions. The human body is an integrated unit, and it doesn't always fit the logic that we have been taught in school. Therefore, we have had to expand our thinking to accept the clinical responses that we achieve using TBM. We find that body functions which we were taught, were separate activities. In actuality, they interact and communicate with each other in a myriad of complex pathways.

Through the efforts and teachings of many of our health innovators, and through trial and error, we have been able to put together teach-able, learn-able and repeat-able technical procedures to correct, what we term, imbalances of functional physiology.

We use a simple indicator muscle test and test points located throughout the body to determine the positive or negative function of that body. It has been taught for the last few decades that all of the body functions are controlled by the biological computer within the body. TBM has found that by using the test points and an indicator muscle, we can test the various computer programs within the system. Then, using energetic and soft tissue corrections, we can re-align the function of specific computer programs, thereby restoring function and communication within the body.

D. D. Palmer said, "Too much or too little energy is pathology." He was right. If the body programs run too fast or too slow, pathology can develop. TBM can normalize that flow of energy by balancing the body's computer programs.

We are beginning to amass hard-copy scientific data to validate our theories. It is a slow process, because double-blind studies cannot be done on living, breathing bodies. The validation of TBM is in the clinical results. The results that have attained have gives us the impetus, the confidence, and the desire to find out more about how this body really works now!
